First of all - massive thanks goes to Ashleigh Donnelly from Ophelia Bridal Makeup for organising and inviting me to take part as a photographer in this fantastic styled shoot. The chosen location was a spectacular Carlowrie Castle near Edinburgh, Scotland. I have been there on numerous occasions photographing real life weddings so I knew it was an ideal venue with a great potential both indoor and outdoor. Without the help and unbelievable support of some finest wedding suppliers in Scotland this would not be possible. • Rachel & Fraser’s wedding at Dunglass Estate in Cockburnspath, Scotland.

Rachel & Fraser’s wedding is without a doubt one of my favourite of 2017. It was the hottest July day ever when I arrived at the amazing Dunglass Estate. It’s really hard to find right words to describe that venue… unique, historic, picturesque and in some kind - magical. Always brings anyone off to a romantic mood. I started the day taking shots of everyone getting ready. After taking some great photos I went to Dunglass Collegiate Church where the intimate and traditional Scottish ceremony took place. Instead of traditional wedding car the bride was escorted by her father in magnificent 1966 Austin Healey Sprite. Straight after everyone enjoyed canapes with champagne in dashing sun and a few minutes later we disappeared with the bride and groom to take some beautiful pics around the estate. Once we were back we managed to take family photos and then it was time for an amazing food and great party. Wedding breakfast was preceded by three speeches - father of the bride, the groom himself and the best man - telling some great stories from when he and Fraser travelled together. The Little Red wedding band took a great care about the crowd and provided a traditional Ceilidh dancing. Just after the first dance I spotted phenomenal lighting and couldn’t resist taking couple for more photos… it was just perfect for wedding photography. It was a pure joy and pleasure to capture memories for Rachel and Fraser, I had the most amazing time photographing their wedding day.

  • Bethany and Steven's wedding at Bunchrew House in Inverness, Scotland.

Today only blog I am delighted to share my very last wedding of 2017 I had a pleasure to photograph. Nearly 400 miles trip to the other side of the country… but so worth! Bethany and Steven with family and friends took over the stunning Bunchrew House for their wedding day. There is something special about the venue with exclusive use, especially during Christmas time. Just feels like home, well massive home filled with love, laughter and happiness. It was beautiful cold and crisp morning when I arrived to take some photos of the bride, bridesmaid and cheeky flower girls getting ready. Shortly after the groom arrived with his gang and all the guests, the house started to fill quickly and the ceremony was about to begin. Once it was over we managed (with the help of the ushers) to get everyone out for a big group shoot and straight after we sneaked outside just with a bride and groom. Massive “thank you” for Bethany’s dad for running up and down and helping us to get the best possible photos in this freezing conditions. Once we were back there was some quality time with the guest, in between we took some family photos by the warm fireplace. After the speeches there was a time for a meal… well Christmas meal with tree, presents and crackers. It was simply beautiful, I know that Bethany and Steven planned every single detail maticoulisaly and it worked so well! Just before the first dance, the happy couple cut one of the most wonderful cake I have ever seen. It was just my “kind of thing” - magnificent! Evening entertainment was provided by amazing “Andy Duncan” wedding band. It was a pure joy and pleasure to capture memories for Bethany and Steven! Thanks for having me!
